A high-level meeting was recently held at China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (SINOSURE) Liaoning Branch between OYAK ENERGY and CDS SOLAR, marking an important step toward strengthening cooperation in the global energy sector.
OYAK (Ordu Yardımlaşma Kurumu), also known as the Turkish Armed Forces Assistance and Pension Fund, is Turkey’s first and largest supplementary occupational pension fund, serving over 470,000 members. Established with support from the Turkish military, OYAK has developed into a comprehensive multinational conglomerate with over 100 subsidiaries, including six publicly listed companies. Its operations span 25 countries across six continents, employing more than 38,000 people worldwide.

Within the OYAK Group, OYAK ENERGY plays a leading role in the energy sector. Its main business covers four core areas, with a particular focus on power generation. OYAK ENERGY owns one of Turkey’s largest thermal power plants, which accounts for approximately 3% of the nation’s total electricity demand.
During the meeting, representatives from CDS SOLAR and OYAK ENERGY held in-depth discussions on potential cooperation opportunities within the energy sector, particularly in solar power development, renewable energy technology, and infrastructure investment. Both sides expressed strong interest in exploring strategic partnerships, leveraging their respective strengths in technology, financing, and project execution.
The two parties agreed that closer collaboration would not only enhance OYAK’s renewable energy portfolio, but also expand CDS SOLAR’s international presence, especially in the Turkish and Middle Eastern energy markets. This partnership aims to promote green energy transformation, contributing to global efforts in achieving carbon neutrality and sustainable growth.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen cooperation and establish a long-term strategic relationship, supporting future large-scale renewable energy projects under a spirit of mutual trust and shared innovation.
